LifeVantage Corporation was ranked as the best place to work in the direct sales industry for the 2nd time in a row as best workplace.
“The most gratifying part about this particular recognition is that it’s a reflection of how our employees feel about us as a company, and that’s something we put a lot of stock in.” ~ LifeVantage CEO Darren Jenson
The HR Technology company known as Quantum Workplace has been gathering data for over a decade in order to determine each industry’s best place to work. One of the main ways they build their databases is by surveying employees of nominated companies. Employees were asked to complete an online survey, particularly designed to measure engagement in the workplace. Which has been linked to a higher employee retention rate, higher productivity and higher profit overall. A certain percentage of employees at each company had to complete the survey in order for the company to qualify. Responses were then compiled and evaluated. Each company was ranked based on their overall engagement score. Any Direct sales company with at least 40 employees was eligible for the study.
Not surprisingly, LifeVantage does a very good job of focusing on employee engagement. In fact, they conduct their own employee engagement study each year.
“These surveys mean a lot to our company, and our employees are very open in them. Anecdotal data is one thing, but having quantifiable and measurable data allows us to continuously improve in an informed way. ~ LifeVantage Sr. Vice President of Human Resources Michelle Oborn.
“We go to great lengths to make sure our employees know what our “why” is and how they specifically dovetail with it,” CEO Jensen said. “Once they undersand that, it has a very powerful impact on their level of engagement and feeling of connectedness.”
LifeVantage Best Workplace can be attributed to so much more including the ping pong table located by the elevators on the 3rd floor as you can often find employees on break or the close of the day.
The LifeVantage questionnaire ranged topically from how valued employees felt, to their attitude towards the company as a whole, intention to stay with the company, commitment to their work, and team dynamics to perception of leadership, culture, recognition, professional development, employer-provided benefits, and communication.
